Characters Without a Movie
2023 | 27 x 19 cm | first edition of 3 copies printed in La Bibliográfica
This photobook forms a part of a project that conceives photography and cinema a unique language, connecting still images and moving images. Halfway between the idea of photography capturing the decisive moment and the image flowing in cinema.
Characters Without a Movie is an invitation to reflect on reality and fiction, two different mindsets that are difficult to differentiate these days. It is about how us, living in "reality", relate to the characters living in the "fiction" we see on the screens.
Amarillo
2021 | 10,6 x 10,6 x 1,5 cm | edition of 3 handmade copies
Amarillo is an artist's book that rethinks the concept of the family photo album. Pocket-sized so it can be carried anywhere, is a book that we have to handle to actually read it.
The album compiles photographs belonging to my grandparents' family album, arranged in a completely different way compered to how they were found. A new approach to them, a more personal one, through the memories I have of my grandparents.
